About Me

My name is Jure Škegro, and I come from Slovenia. My journey in movement, sport, and physical development began at an early age and has shaped the way I approach training today.

Throughout my life, I have been deeply connected to sport and an active lifestyle. My background includes competitive Sport Airgun Shooting, five years of Karate, and three years of Mixed Martial Arts with amateur competitions — experiences that built my discipline, focus, resilience, and passion for continuous improvement.

For over 15 years, strength training has been a fundamental part of my life. Alongside strength development, I have explored many forms of physical practice, including sport climbing, hiking, and various athletic disciplines, constantly expanding my understanding of movement and human performance.

My approach to training is also strongly influenced by more than a decade of Yoga practice, combined with extensive work in mobility, prehabilitation, and rehabilitation methods. This has helped me develop a deeper understanding of the body — not only how to build strength, but how to move efficiently, prevent injuries, and create long-term physical balance.

For the past five seasons, I have been living in Zermatt, surrounded by one of the most inspiring mountain environments in the world. I have a deep appreciation for this place — its nature, energy, and the active lifestyle it encourages. Being able to combine my passion for movement with the opportunity to train and support people in such an incredible environment is something I truly value.

I have trained private clients and lead various group trainings in Slovenia and right here in Zermatt for years.

Today, my focus lies firstly in Strength & Conditioning, helping individuals develop strength, athleticism, and optimal movement through intelligent and personalized training and secondly in long-term lifestyle change, focusing on the bigger picture and the long run of teaching how to lead a healthy and vital life.

I believe that anyone can achieve a complete change with proper physical progress, nutritional structure and mentality training for constructing such a strong fundamental that will never break again, no matter what.

I feel grateful to share my passion for training in a place like Zermatt, where movement, nature, and personal growth come together.
